DESCRIPTION:Happy New Year! \nOur Parkinson’s Support Group will hold its’ first meeting for the 2020 year this Saturday\, (as always) at 1:00 at West Hills Village. Shawn Carlson\, a rep for Acorda Therapeutics and Sarah Matcha\, NP and Certified Movement Disorder Specialist will be speaking. They both live and will be traveling down from Fargo\, ND. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for safe travels and pray for good weather. \nThe topic of their presentation is “Recognizing OFF periods in Parkinson’s and the Role of a Unique Treatment Option”. Together they will be speaking on a newly launched product by Acorda which is an orally inhaled Levodopa called Inbrija. It is designed to assist in mitigating the Off periods in Parkinson’s.  Sarah has a large practice in Fargo and is very knowledgeable on the current therapies and is well known in her area for passionately treating Parkinson’s Disease.
